Taking long walks in the forest is one of my favorite things to do, especially in autumn. Summers are hot and boisterous, often filled with increased social interaction. I much prefer the quiet, introspective, and solemn vibe of autumn. It brings a mix of beautiful, vibrant colors alongside a sense of melancholy due to the slow decline that reminds us nothing lasts forever. In this moody, bittersweet season, the forest breaths a profound truth: change is natural, and there is immense beauty in letting go.
Standing beneath a massive tree such as this one, it is hard not to be impressed by what nature can achieve. From this low viewpoint, the branches seem to stretch infinitely into the sky. It's a breathtaking example of reaching your full potential. A tree does not grow to half its potential size and then says "I guess that will do". It simply follows its nature, and makes the most of the life it's been given. Perhaps there's a lesson in that for us.
We often hold ourselves back
